Flieger Typ A

The Flieger Typ A is my interpretation of the classic white-dial pilot watch — the type used by navigators for legible time reading during long flights.

The white enamel dial with large Arabic numerals and small seconds at the 6 o’clock position gives the watch a timeless elegance. At the top of the dial proudly stands the LAIBACHER ZEITMASCHINE inscription.

Enameling the dial is a demanding process requiring multiple layers of application and firing. The result is a deep, creamy white surface that is resistant to aging and scratching.

Navigator heritage

The Type A pilot watch was designed for quick reading — large numerals, clear hands, no unnecessary complications. This philosophy guides my design.
